Digidental and Our Services
Digidental is a digital dental laboratory established in Laval, Quebec, and founded in 2022. Its team of approximately 7 people has more than 25 years of combined dental laboratory experience. We work exclusively with dental professionals and produce crowns, bridges, implant restorations, nightguards and occlusal splints, dentures, and orthodontic and custom appliances through digital workflows.
Digidental serves dental professionals, including dentists, denturists and dental practices. We do not work directly with patients; every case is received from, produced for and delivered to the professional responsible for treatment.
Digidental offers dental crowns, dental bridges, implant restorations, nightguards and occlusal splints, dentures, and orthodontic and custom appliances.
Yes. Digidental works with denturists, particularly on digital workflows for complete and partial removable dentures. Contact our team to confirm the appropriate workflow for a case.
Digital Workflow
The process generally follows six stages: receipt of the digital case, verification of required information, digital design, production according to restoration type, case quality control, and delivery to the dental professional. The details of each stage vary by case type and complexity.
Yes. Digital cases can be sent through your scanner platform, including 3Shape Communicate, Medit Link, iTero or another portal depending on the device, or by email to info@digidental.ca. Our team provides connection information for the first submission.
Digidental accepts STL, PLY, OBJ and DCM files. If your scanner exports another format, contact our team before sending it to confirm compatibility.
Yes. Digidental works with major intraoral scanning workflows, including iTero, 3Shape TRIOS, Medit, Carestream / DEXIS and Dentsply Sirona Primescan, using STL, PLY, OBJ and DCM files. A practice without a scanner can also send a conventional impression or physical model for in-laboratory digitization.
No. A practice without an intraoral scanner can send a conventional impression. The impression is poured into a physical model at the laboratory and then scanned to enter the digital production workflow. An existing physical model, such as a denture or study model, can also be scanned directly at our laboratory.
Design is completed through CAD/CAM, followed by in-house manufacturing on high-end DLP 3D printers used notably for nightguards, occlusal splints and dental models, as well as VHF, Roland and Zirkonzahn milling systems.
Requirements depend on the prescribed restoration. In general, provide the case’s digital data and the clinical instructions relevant to the planned treatment. Digidental can confirm the required information before submission to help avoid follow-up delays.
Dental Crowns and Bridges
Yes. Digidental designs and manufactures dental crowns through CAD/CAM and checks the case before shipping.
Digidental offers zirconia crowns, including multilayer zirconia, E-max crowns and porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) crowns. Shade is customized according to the case.
Yes. Digidental designs dental bridges through CAD/CAM, with connector and occlusal-load considerations and materials selected according to the clinical situation.
Yes. Crown and bridge cases can be submitted digitally. Compatibility depends on the system used by the practice, and our team can confirm the transmission method before submission.
Implant Restorations
Yes. Digidental manufactures the laboratory components for implant cases, including custom abutments, screw-retained crowns and bars. Clinical implant placement remains the dental professional’s responsibility; Digidental is a laboratory and does not place implants.
Requirements vary by case and implant platform. There is no single protocol, so dental professionals should confirm the case requirements with Digidental before submission.
Yes. Implant cases can be submitted digitally. Because requirements vary by implant platform and restoration type, confirm compatibility with our team before sending the case.
Nightguards and Occlusal Splints
Yes. Digidental digitally designs high-density acrylic nightguards and occlusal splints, including appliances intended to protect against bruxism-related wear.
In a digital workflow, the appliance is designed from digital case data and manufactured through CAD/CAM, so the file can be archived and reproduced. In a conventional workflow, the appliance is made from physical models and manual stages. The appropriate workflow depends on the case and the dental professional’s preference.
Send the digital case data with the relevant instructions. Our team confirms any missing information before production. Contact Digidental if you need help submitting the case.
Dentures
Yes. Digidental produces complete and partial removable dentures through a digital workflow.
Yes. Denturists are among the professionals Digidental works with in Quebec for removable denture cases. Each case is produced according to the submitting professional’s instructions and within their scope of practice.
Yes. Our complete and partial dentures use a digital workflow: the design is archived, try-ins can be reproduced, and the number of appointments may be reduced depending on the case.
It depends on the case. In some situations, an existing denture can serve as a reference in a digital workflow, but Digidental cannot guarantee that every existing denture can be reproduced. Submit the case to our team for evaluation before sending it.
Orthodontics and Custom Appliances
Digidental manufactures clear retainers, fixed lingual retainers, Hawley retainers, space maintainers, bleaching trays and sports mouthguards according to the treating professional’s prescription.
No. Digidental is a manufacturing dental laboratory. Diagnosis, treatment planning and clinical decisions remain the treating dental professional’s responsibility; each appliance is manufactured according to the prescription and requirements received.
Production time varies according to the appliance type and case requirements. Contact our team to confirm the applicable production time.
Quality Control
Digidental applies a three-stage quality-control process specifically to crowns, nightguards / occlusal splints and dentures. 1) Case and Input Verification: each digital scan or conventional impression is reviewed before production to confirm that it is complete, usable and sufficient for the prescribed case; if it does not meet the case requirements, the team contacts the clinic before proceeding. 2) Digital Design Quality Control: the design created in the Exocad and 3Shape dental CAD tools is reviewed before manufacturing and, depending on the product and case, this can cover fit, margins, contacts, occlusion, thickness and anatomy; manufacturing begins only after approval. 3) Final Product and Fit Verification: after manufacturing and finishing, the case is inspected and, when applicable, checked on a high-precision printed model produced by DLP 3D printing with low-shrinkage dental model resins to confirm that it matches the approved design before release to the clinic. This process helps identify potential issues early and maintain consistent quality before delivery.
Orders and Case Management
Start in four steps: contact Digidental, discuss the case type or workflow, confirm the required information, and submit the case according to the instructions provided.
Digidental does not publish prices online. A professional price list is available on request to dentists and denturists. Describe the case or expected volume to our team through the Contact page and we will provide the applicable information.
Production times are counted in business days from receipt of a complete case: 3 to 6 business days for a crown and 5 to 8 business days for a dental bridge. Other cases, including dentures, nightguards and occlusal splints, implant restorations, and custom orthodontic appliances, are confirmed at intake. Timing may vary with case complexity, and shipping is additional to production time. An urgent case may sometimes be accelerated; contact our team to confirm feasibility.
Digidental does not offer an online tracking portal. Contact our team by phone or email and we will provide an update on your case.
For a complex case, you can speak directly with a Digidental technician by phone at 514-712-4422 or through the Contact form, before or during production.
